Welcome to the German Pavilion at PLASTINDIA 2012
PLASTINDIA 2012, the 8th International Plastics Exhibition and Conference, marks another important link in the intensive co-operation between the German plastics and rubber industry - especially the manufacturers of machinery - and their Indian partners. The importance of the Indian market for the German industry is reflected not least by the Official German Presentation in this fair.
After the deep recession in 2009 the global economic outlook has improved and conditions in the global economy have stabilised. India is a very interesting market for German plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers who are the most important high-tech suppliers to the Indian market since many years. In 2010 out of the approx 550 Million Euros of Plastic and Rubbery Machinery imported by India, Germany was the leading exporter with a share of 26 % of total exports. The deliveries of German Plastic and Rubbery Machinery to India in the period January to August 2011 attained a value of around 110 Million Euro, making India the 3rd most important destination for the German manufacturers in this sector.
India's economy is expanding faster than most other economies in the world and is one of the main growth drivers in 2011. Plastics and rubber consumption in major fields of application is increasing and further growth may be expected. This will lead to additional opportunities for the German suppliers, especially when it comes to sophisticated equipment suited to produce high quality products.
The official presentation of German plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers in PLASTINDIA 2012 underlines their worldwide leadership in production and exports. PLASTINDIA 2012 offers opportunities for making business in this huge market. The German exhibitors will make endeavour to expand co-operation with the Indian market through their presentations and their state-of-the-art machinery for compounding and processing.
The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA), and the German Plastics and Rubber Machinery Association within VDMA gladly welcome all exhibitors and visitors to PLASTINDIA 2012 and wish all of them every success at this trade fair.
